I’d just like to wish each and every one of my readers a very happy and healthy 2014!
If you’re getting married this year, trust me when I say that the next few months are going to WHIZZ by like you would not believe – your big day will be here before you know it!
It feels very strange for me to say that my husband (eek!) and I got married LAST YEAR but I am very excited to see what this year holds for us! I look forward to our mini-moon in Sherwood Forest next week, our honeymoon to Sicily in May and the first birthdays where we can buy each other husband and wife cards!
I’m also looking forward to continuing writing the Live, Laugh, Love, Marriage blog and meeting more Brides who are in the planning stages of their weddings. I’ll also be expanding what I do with LLLM – I’m hoping to provide a service to Brides to help with planning their big day; both in person and via an online service. So it’s all VERY exciting!!
And as promised, here’s a sneak peek from our wedding on Saturday 28th December…
This is my first ‘married lady’ post for the Live, Laugh, Love, Marriage blog! Woo!
So it has been just over 48 hours since my HUSBAND and I tied the knot, and it has been go, go, go ever since! What I will say for now, is that the weather was PERFECT, the dress was VERY uncomfortable, but the day was the most wonderful mix of amazing and emotional moments!
I’ll explain our big day in more detail soon and share lots of photos as soon as our photographer sends them over to us, but I just wanted to check in, say hello and let you know that I’d made it to ‘the other side’!
Happy Christmas!! I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas Day with your friends and families, and big hellos to anyone who got engaged over the last couple of days!
In two days I will be getting married!! I cannot believe how time has whizzed by over the last few months! And my big day is almost here!
Tomorrow I will be heading over to our venue with a car full of decorations (plus we have roped in the Father and Brother in Law to help) to set up our venue ready for our wedding. Hopefully I will be able to share a few sneaky pictures with you all before I leave to go to ‘the other side’!
After many hours of ‘research’ on Pinterest, we’ve decided to go ahead with our escort card display idea.
Originally we were going to hang our guest’s names on our snow covered LED tree, but we soon realised that hanging 80 names on it was going to look VERY cluttered. So now we’ve decided to buy some old wine crates and display the names in them. Our tree will still feature though; it will sit behind the boxes and we’ll hang some wicker hearts and other rustic decorations from it. In the middle of the display we will put the L & D wooden slice to personalise the display….
I LOVE escort cards! Before I started planning our wedding I had never heard of them before, and I have to admit I thought they were something seedy…!!
But the more I come in contact with them the more I think they’re a really cool and stylish way of displaying what table our guests at sitting at. I’m now at the point where I’m trying to work out how to display the table names, and I’m thinking escort cards might be the way to go….
I’ve just got to find some that’ll work with our theme and work out how to display them now…
Even though we only sent our wedding invitations out last Thursday (so 6 days ago), we’ve already received 7 RSVP cards back!
Those 7 cards equate to knowing that 14 out of 81 of the people we invited to share in our wedding ceremony, and 1 out of the 65 people we’ve invited to our evening reception will be coming!
I’m storing all our RSVP cards in a little slide-top wooden box that was found with my late-Grandmother’s possessions. The RSVP cards fit perfectly in there and it keeps them safe incase I need to refer back to them at anytime.
Hopefully we should receive more of our RSVP cards in the coming weeks – fingers crossed everyone can make it!
